Shingle Replacement and Other Upgrades for this Roof in Tualatin, Oregon

Damage brought about by cold and wet weather can cause your roof to deteriorate. And because natural causes of roof damage are nearly unpreventable, you will really need to step up and ensure your roof is well equipped to face the battles to come.

Even damages that can be prevented due to lack of maintenance and improper installation can also bring about problems. But don’t worry, we have great news! Whether it’s caused by the wrath of Mother Nature or being unable to maintain your roof due to a busy schedule, we are here to help. Just like we helped this homeowner from Oregon.

BEFORE

AFTER

To start, we removed all damaged roof materials, especially those infested with mold as it would just continue to rot the roof if not remedied entirely. Thus, we removed the existing layer of cedar shake roofing. Then we re-sheeted the entire roof over current shiplap decking a total of (31 squares)

After that, we proceeded with installing the upgrades and essential features of the roof. Here are the things that we installed:

  • New drip/edge metal on entire perimeters and 'W' shaped valley metal
  • Ice and Water Shield over all Penetrations and in all valleys
  • Owens Corning Synthetic Underlayment over the entire roof
  • New plumbing vent flashing
  • Owens Corning TruDef Duration Shingles
  • OSHA fall protection
  • Owens Corning DecoRidge® Hip & Ridge Shingles on ALL hips & Ridges.
