Shed Siding Replacement in Portland

Before we proceed with any project that we take on, we first conduct a very thorough inspection of the structure. This way, we are sure that we are able to tend to every problem that warrants a repair. This is also very important to eliminate future damage that a small rotting may cost a whole roof or siding replacement.

BEFORE

Just like with this siding replacement project we did in Portland, before starting with the construction, we first inspected the shed and decided on what needs to be done. After that, we removed the existing layer of wood siding to the studs and as well as the windows.

Thereafter, we re-sheeted the structure all around with 11 sheets of 1/2" CDX Plywood. Then, installed a vapor barrier to damp proof the shed and prevent future rot or mold damage. We proceeded to install Smart trim around windows, doors and corners. Lastly (for this stage of the project), we installed Z-metal on windows, doors and other penetrations as necessary.

After all of that was done, we proceeded to the installation of HARDIEPLANK® LAP SIDING Cedarmill siding (pre-primed w/ 7" reveal). The client wanted a similar color to the old one and so we installed this pre-primed siding.

And just so with every project, after the construction proper, our crew cleans up and disposes of all the job related debris and materials. In addition, we do a magnet sweep for nails to ensure the safety of those who will be utilizing the space.
