Preparations

Here’s what we did for this project. First, we made sure that the surfaces where the sidings will be replaced are all good. We kept the existing 1/11 of the siding to use as underlayment. We then proceeded to inspect sheeting for rot or damage, then replaced the ones that needed to be replaced.

We also installed Vycor Window Wrap on windows and vapor barrier per manufacturer’s specifications. Lastly, for this stage of the process, we installed Hardie trim around windows, doors, corners and Z-metal above windows where needed.

Installation

After all the preparatory steps, we proceed with installing the siding. We used Hardie 8 Inch Cedarmill siding per manufacturer’s specifications. To add to that, we also installed two Hardie Shingle Straight Edge Panels on 3 peaks.

To finish off the new sidings, we applied two coats of Sherwin William's Super Paint. Once everything’s done, our crew cleaned up and disposed of all the job related debris and materials.
