Preparations for Siding Installation
To start, we removed all damaged siding materials, especially those infested with mold as it would just continue to rot the roof if not remedied entirely. Thus, we removed ALL current barge boards & replaced them with new pre-primed barge boards due to rot. In addition, we removed the existing layer of asphalt roofing.
After that we also removed RVO vents and replaced them with manufactured plywood plug, then Ice & Water. Where it is needed, we replaced the plywood with ½” CDX Plywood.

These guarantee that the homeowner won’t be worrying about a leaking or rotting roof anytime soon.
